"The Hidden Lives of Papillons and Phalenes" is a 40-page A4 size full colour book principally containing (with text) some of the cartoon art work that Deirdre produced, over a period of six years, as privately-produced Calendars for Caroline Woods-Cox. It also contains some other Papillon and Phalene art work of Deirdre's. There are more than 140 pieces of Papillon and Phalene art work in "Hidden Lives".

The covers are fully printed inside and out. The book contains an Introduction by Mike Foster, another by Deirdre and an Afterword by Caroline herself.

There are two entirely new and original pieces of art work created for the book - the Front Cover, and a new "And So To Bed..." drawing, to add to the two "And So To Bed..." drawings in The Millennium Book of the Papillon and the CISPAP (both of which are reproduced in this book).

 

The book was published at the end of May 2018 in a signed, numbered, limited edition of only 250 copies. There are now only 38 copies available.

 

The price of the book is £18.00 plus postage of £7.00 to EU countries and £10.00 to the Rest of the World.  The "Secret Garden" limited edition print which was adapted from the Front Cover art work is also a signed, numbered limited edition of 250 prints, it costs £10 if ordered with "Hidden Lives" (no additional postage) and £15.00 if ordered separately plus £5.00 postage to anywhere in the world.

This is a dedicated Papillon and Phalene art book, produced to a very high standard of printing, on 150 gm silk paper with 300 gm boards.
